Water Treatment

Water treatment integrated with oily-waste processing so the extracted water phase is addressed as part of the complete treatment system.

Process approach

Treat the water phase as part of the full waste stream.

Sludge processing, drill-cuttings treatment and remediation projects all produce water streams with project-specific characteristics. HydroPure integrates water characterization, oil and solids separation and treatment planning into the overall process design.

Where onsite wastewater treatment is available, the separated water can be routed into that system. Where it is not available, HydroPure can provide treatment processes to decontaminate the extracted water for recycling or manage it for discharge in accordance with applicable requirements.

Water treatment forms part of HydroPure’s oil-waste processing and remediation work, including current project activity in Azerbaijan.

Treatment sequence

Manage extracted water from source to final outlet.

  1. CharacterizeDefine the water stream, contaminants and project requirements.
  2. SeparateRemove recoverable oil and suspended solids from the water phase.
  3. TreatApply the treatment process suited to the stream and intended outlet.
  4. RouteRecycle treated water or prepare it for compliant discharge or disposal.

Discuss water quality, treatment objectives and the intended outlet.
