Process approach

Match the treatment path to the material and site.

Solid materials can remain after sludge separation, drill-cuttings treatment or the cleaning of hydrocarbon-impacted soil. HydroPure evaluates the material, the treatment objective and the project setting before defining the appropriate process and final disposition.

Depending on the source and condition of the solids, the treatment plan can include oil and water removal, cleaning, thermal treatment or preparation for disposal at a licensed facility. Cleaned drill cuttings may also be considered for use as fill material where permitted.

HydroPure combines solid-treatment planning with oil recovery and water treatment so all three phases of the waste stream are addressed.

Treatment sequence

Define a responsible route for contaminated solids.

  1. AssessCharacterize the material, contamination and intended end state.
  2. SeparateRemove recoverable oil and water where the material allows.
  3. TreatApply cleaning or thermal treatment suited to the solid stream.
  4. ManagePrepare treated material for permitted reuse or licensed disposal.

Discuss the material, contamination profile and required end state.
